This Esky Lama 4 coaxial helicopter shown is part of the GLMAV (Gun-Launched Miniature Air Vehicle) project, a hybrid projectile and MAV studied at the French-German Research Institute of Saint-Louis (ISL). It is launched as a subsonic projectile from a dedicated portable tube and deploys its blades and rotor system once arrived over the targeted site (at a height of 100 m and over a range of 500 m).

The vehicle in the video is a lightened version of the GLMAV to study the deployed flight. It is running PX4!
